About us
Joint Professions Group (JPG) was formed by the Southern Society of Chartered Accountants, part of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales), and represents some 20 professional bodies whose members are based in the south of England including West Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The primary aim of JPG is to connect professionals by providing opportunities for joint business and social events, training and professional networking.
JPG is not a membership body (ie there are no membership fees) - it is simply a group of professionals seeking to provide a framework for dynamic business networking. We organise two main events a year and seek to provide an experience to which members of the public would not ordinarily have access; previous successful events have included Southampton Port, the RNLI, the Spinnaker Tower, INTECH, NOCS and, most recently, BAE Systems' ship building facilities in Portsmouth. The next one will be in October 2010 at Beaulieu, Hampshire.
In addition, we promote other Institutes’ events and courses that may be relevant and useful to members, thus enabling them to benefit from the professional and technical skills training offered by these other bodies.
Additional participants
In addition to the Institutes whose logos appear here, other professional bodies include CILIP, CIOB, CIPFA, CIPR, CMI, Institute of Measurement & Control, IoD, Royal Institute of Navigation, Southampton Master Mariners' Club, The Nautical Institute.
